So I just caught a glimpse of the last part of Drumline where they were doing a “drum off” I guess, I have no idea what it’s called. And I have no idea what’s so cool about Drumline. And what the hell is Stomp the Yard all about too?! Why is it cool to have a drum off? And why must the yard be stomped? Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!
I really want a new computer. It’s been two years since I’ve had my computer.
Current –
Mobo: Asus A8N32 SLi Deluxe
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 4000+ 2.4GHz, OC’d a bit, depending on season.
Vid Card: 2×256mb nVidia BFG GeForce 7800GT
RAM: 2×256mb Dual Channel OCZ / 2×256mb Dual Channel Corsair
…to most, it’s not that old. I mean, I admit my computer is still not on most of the “Recommended” lists for games, but it’s getting pretty close to it. Tabula Rasa recommends my video card and RAM… so I think it’s time for me to get a new computer.
My next project computer (if I get a job or the money falls into my lap):
Mobo: Asus M3A32-MVP SLi Deluxe
CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9600 Quad-Core Processor 2.3GHz, 4×512kb, 1800MHz FSB
Vid Card: nVidoa BFG GeForce 8800GTX OC2
RAM: OCZ PC2-8000 ReaperX HPC 4GB Dual Channel, 1000MHz, 5-5-5-18
Tower: Cooler Master CM Stacker 930 ATX Full-Tower Aluminum Case w/ Vented Side
PS: 1 Kilowatt
Hopefully, but we’ll see. My computer is still nice to me. The only reason why I’m not sure about a new PC is this:
I want a PS3. That’s right, a Playstation 3. Why, you ask? Well it’s simple:
Blu-ray.
Okay system performance.
The Agency
Boku no Natsuyasumi 3
DC Universe
Digimon World Online
Genji: Days of the Blade
The Getaway 3
God of War III
Grand Turismo 5
Heavenly Sword
Haze
LittleBigPlanet
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Star Ocean 4
Time Crisis 4
Way of the Samurai 3
And that’s in alphabetical order (the games).
Oh yeah, that and Rock Band.
BUT. Technically… this will be a triumphant return to console since Dreamcast,
I won’t count it as such if I only get the MMOs and not the RPG-only. MMOs like the DC Universe.
For long I hated the dreaded console because I believe it’s a money waster. You spend on average $50 on console games nowadays. Well, it’s actually the same on PC as well, but the platforms don’t change on PC like they do on console. But now, since they’ve made consoles up to par with computers… I might be persuaded to get one. But mainly because some games exclusive to them are just awesome. I mean, that’s why I got the Dreamcast in the first place. Crazy Taxi and Marvel vs. Capcom 2, the only reasons I need to keep my Dreamcast
This is taken from an article in Wired.com.
The sales of Halo 3. It wasn’t surprising that Halo 3 would sell like something that sells really fast, but I was saddened by how many people were exposed only to the world of the Master Chief while missing out on the amazing BioShock or my new pick for greatest game of all time, Portal. Sure, both games sold reasonably well, but when compared to the sales of Halo 3, you begin to realize that gaming accurately reflects the rest of society’s entertainment; high-brow, revolutionary fare is ignored by the masses in favor of “wicked awesome explosions.”
One of the best ways to put why I dislike Halo 3. Other than it was also graphically disappointing. Might as well be playing Halo 1 or 2.
That is all.
Well yippee! It’s Christmas. Happy brithday Jesus. Woot woot! thats 2007? 2008? I dunno.
Anyways, for a second, I had no idea what the hell Christmas was. So, thanks to the power of Google, I found the wiki page for Christmas. It was pretty sad that I had to do that. Well, actually, not really. It’s good to refresh the memory and try to get the facts straight. Honestly, I could have easily said that it was Jesus’ birthday, but then in the back of my mind I would be thinking I was wrong or that there should be more facts too it. Lo and behold there are. I won’t really get into it, since it IS wikipedia and probably some of the information is wrong. But atleast I got my memory refreshed. This is what happens when you go to Catholic school for 12 years… it makes you NOT want to be Catholic… Atleast half the people I know who are religious attended public school, and half of those people only attended public high school, but went to private elementary schools. I’d like to go in and tell you a lot of things that happened this year, but I won’t be talking about religion this past year.
Oh, my blog went askew.
Adieu.
It just occured to me today that it’s Christmas Eve. It didn’t really hit me until last night when everyone from the Philippines messaged me Merry Christmas! And I was like… “it’s too early for that.” Christmas came up and bit me in the pwet. I thought I still had a week left, but no… it’s tomorrow! Weird. This year… went by FAST. I mean really fast. Most of the things were a blur until the wedding. Then everything after the wedding was a blurr. I can’t even distinguish September – November. The only ones that stood out were: January. March. April. July-August. Hm. I’ll wait for the recap to reveal them all.

Part 2 will come just before New Years’
“We can kill each other when it’s over.”
Ahahaha, good stuff. I can’t wait for this movie to come out. The only thing that I would much rather see is if it was in Chinese, not English. It’s ok though, it looks good. I mean… Jackie Chan… Jet Li… together?!?! AND they’re being accompanied by a new hot chick, Yifei Liu, who is so awesome. It’s too bad most of the people are going to know these two huge figures more than the actual main character that is Michael Angarano who is from Sky High fame. I even had to imdb him to make sure he was from Sky High, lol. Looking so forward to this movie.
I can tell you though that I’m not looking forward to this movie:
Shoalin Soccer was one thing… because it was soccer and you can definately try to make a good movie with Kung Fu in it… But basketball…? I don’t know.
Ugh… I’m so bored right now…
So I spent most of the past two days just searching for more bands to listen to. I found two that I really like, they’re called Rediscover and Metro Station. They both have the qualities I like in Forever the Sickest Kids and essentially most electro rock.
Rediscover as biographed by Last.fm:
Rediscover is a power/synth pop band from Toledo, OH. Originally started as a solo project by Wes Quinonez in 2004, it has now expanded to a full band with a drummer, Rob Wagner, a guitarist, Mikey Corwin, and a bassist, Daaron Davis.
Here’s their MySpace. And their Last.fm.
Metro Station as biographed by Last.fm:
A band from Hollywood, California with four members.
Blake Healy: synth and beats
Mason Musso: vocals and guitar
Trace Cyrus:vocals and guitar
Anthony Improgo: drums
Metro Station was started by Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso in 2006 after their mothers introduced them to each other. Since they both shared musical talent, they decided to use it in the creation of a band. Shortly after, Blake Healy was added as a keyboardist and synthesizer, while Musso remained as lead vocalist, and Cyrus as lead guitarist. The trio together recorded the demo track “Seventeen Forever”, which they released on their Myspace Music website. The track gained the attention of percussionist Anthony Improgo, and soon after he joined as the band’s drummer.
With the four of them, they quickly became popular on Myspace Music, topping the Myspace Music Unsigned Band’s charts. A Red Ink intern discovered the band while looking through the Myspace Music charts, and they were signed shortly thereafter.[2]
In the July 2007 issue of Alternative Press, an indie music magazine, Metro Station was listed as one of the “22 Best Underground Bands (That Likely Won’t Stay Underground for Long)”. [3]
The band released their first full length album on September 18, 2007, with songs produced by Joshua Cain and Justin Pierre of the power pop band Motion City Soundtrack.
Here’s their MySpace. And their Last.fm.
And as a shortcut… I have two of my favorite songs from them playing on the right in my music player. Check ‘em out!
Ees Dat a Porty Pibe?
So I grabbed some lunch from Panda Express and the guy serving me was Filipino, right? My total came to $8.45 and he goes “That will be Ate Porty Pibe.” I tried so hard to keep my laughter inside. That really made my day, it was so funny. Man, you gotta love fobbing out and the Debut movie. Good stuff.
So yesterday, on the way home from PCC, a car, without signalling, switches to my lane while im doing like 35mph and he started from 0mph, we almost hit each other, and he keeps going like nothing happened. Douches. More douching karma ensues when on the way to dropping Matthew off at his dad’s office, some douche was behind a guy making a U-turn on the intersection that I was adjacent to takes the left turn flooring it RIGHT after the U-turner. So I was happily making my left turn while the U-turner was turning, and the douche almost hits me. If I wasn’t driving fast enough, I would have had an accident. Stupid Douchy McDouchebags.
In other douchebag news, a couple who were having fun while pointing a laser pointer at a helicopter are probably going to be fine $250k or 20 years in prison. Stupid reason to get busted. It’s like arresting people for downloading stuff. Hahaha.
Check it out here.
Well, I have an appointment at PCC at 2:30pm, so I must take my leave.
So I was web surfing earlier today and I found this website: Gizoogle. It’s a website that translates words and other webpages into slang. It’s crazy. I translated my blog and everything was weird, haha. Try it out.
And this Pinoy. Wow. The new lead singer of Journey. Arnel Pineda. This guy is phenomenal in that he sounds like Steve Perry so much. It’s crazy. It’s, how you say, SICK NASTY. Hahaha. Anyways, I’ll let this video of him singing show you how awesome he is. PINOY WHAT?!
And that’s my update.
